The Search Toolbar |
Enter the URL to search for and hit Enter to display matching sites. Use the wildcard characters "*" and "?" to find URLs matching only a part of the URL. "Wildcard" characters are treated like DOS/Windows wildcards and are used to refer to many URLs at once.
The "*" (asterisk) can be placed anywhere in a URL, and will replace any number of characters. The '*' wildcard is automatically added before and after any query.
Examples: "blog" will match all URLs where the word "blog" is a part of it, e.g. http://www.myblog.com or http://blogs.anotherblog.com
The "?" can be placed anywhere in a URL and will replace exactly one character.
Example: "blog?.com" will match http://www.myblog1.com but not http://www.myblog.com
